Border Fair Housing & Economic Justice Center provides a variety of Fair Housing compliance trainings for the housing industry´s public and private sector. In partnership with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and other Fair Housing experts BFHC has develop different training programs that will ensure your organization´s compliance with the law.

Our training programs were designated to help you be proactive and prevent violations of the fair housing laws before they occur. BFHC provides a series of trainings covering the following areas:

  • Fair Housing enforcement agency roles and local fair housing laws
  • Fair Housing complaint process
  • Advertising compliance
  • Guidelines on developing and enforcing tenancy rules, rule violations and evictions
  • Renting to consumers with disabilities- reasonable accommodations and modification issues
  • Familial status issues, occupancy ordinances, and housing for older persons
  • Development of a Fair Housing policy
  • Claims of retaliation

BFHC trainings are available to Housing Owners, Builders, Property Managers, Developers, Real Estate Agents, Lenders, and Not-for-Profit Builders. Our trainings address the many Fair Housing issues affecting our community. This training is not only critical to prevent costly violations; it also leads to good business practices.
